Gerard Butler and Morgan Freeman starrer, this movie is the third installment of the Fallen series with Olympus Has Fallen (2013) and London Has Fallen (2016). The film is about United States Secret Service agent Mike Banning (Gerard Butler) who has been framed for the assassination attempt of President Allan Trumbull (Morgan Freeman). Mike is on the run to clear his name as he is being chased by his own agency and the FBI, to uncover the truth and expose the real terrorist threat. The cast is ensemble of other great actors Danny Huston, Micheal Landes, Tim Blake Nelson, Chris Browning, Joseph Millson, Jada Pinkett Smith, Lance Reddick and few others.
Directed by Ric Roman Waugh, this is a 2 hour long R rated movie for the violence and language throughout the movie. With other rival projects on the attack on the White House like Channing Tatum and Jamie Foxx’s White House Down, this franchise has managed to produce three installments so far. Although it is easy to guess who is framing the lead of attempted murder of POTUS (President Of The United States), but the is not in the guessing game but the action packed journey of Gerard. Running from the law, Mike Banning turns to the only person he can trust; his father, Clay Bannings (Nick Nolte).
The movie definitely gets the pump from the pulse-pounding score from David Buckley. The first two installments from the franchise bagged $300 million at the box office whereas this part earned an average of $23 million on day 1 and $29 million on day 2.
With an IMDb rating of 6.7/10, Rotten Tomatoes approval rating of 50% based on 20 reviews and a Metacritic score of 42 out of 100, the movie has received mixed reviews. Being labeled as mediocre, this film has a few bits that get the viewers intrigued, making it a good one time watch.
