Jabariya Jodi Movie Box Office Collection Day 1, Day 2, and Plot

Directed by Prashant Singh, Jabariya Jodi literally translates forced couple. It is a hindi romantic comedy/action film featuring Siddharth Malhotra and Parineeti Chopra as lead cast. The story revolves around an age old tradition of groom kidnapping prevalent in areas of Bihar. Siddharth Malhotra plays thug and kidnapper Abhay Singh who picks up grooms and forces them into marrying girls in order to avoid paying dowry. Babli Yadav, played by Parineeti Chopra falls in love with Abhay Singh, swears to marry him after abducting him and the story continues on the same plot.

The concept for the film came from the creative mind of Sanjeev K. Jha who himself is from Bihar and is very much aware of this practice in his native state. The British Board of Film Classification has certified the film with a runtime of 139 minutes which is 2 hours and 30 minutes long.Day 1 resulted in an approximate collection of 3-4 crores whereas day 2 is predicted to be no more than 3.5 to 4 crores. A general rating of 2/5 is awarded to the movie.

Critics believe that the film has a few interesting bit and pieces but nothing so special to offer to their viewers. Siddharth and Parineeti have worked together before in Hasee to Phasee which was off to a good start but could not make it big on the box office. This movie is assumed to follow the same pattern but with catchy songs like Khadke Glassy, Zila Hilela, Dhoonde Akhiyaan, Khwabfaroshi, Ki Honda Pyaar and Macchardani, it can trend on the song chartbusters.

We suggest the movie is a good one time watch with friends and family.
