The Last Blood is the sequel to Rambo (2008) and the fifth installment of the Rambo franchise, directed by Adrian Grunberg, starred and co-written by Sylvester Stallone, who plays the role of John Rambo, a Vietnam War veteran. It co-stars Paz Vega, Sergio Peris-Mencheta, Adriana Barraza, Yvette Monreal, Genie Kim, Joaquin Cosio and Oscar Jaenada. The story follows John Rambo as he travels to Mexico to save his niece who has been kidnapped by the Mexican cartel.

A deadly journey of vengeance, Rambo: Last Blood marks the last chapter of the legendary series. Although parts of amazing story are made dim due to the contents indulgence in bloody violence, strong graphics, drug use and grisly images. Rambo must confront his past and unearth his ruthless combat skills to exact revenge in a final mission. Brian Tyler returns for the score of the film and used the remixed version of “Old Town Road” for the trailer.
In the United States and Canada the movie will be released alongside Ad Astra and Downtown Abbey, and is projected to gross $23-25 million on the opening weekend. With an IMDb rating of 7.2/10 but only a 34% score from the viewers on Rotten Tomatoes, the film has received mixed opinions and reactions from the audience.
