The Lion king is an American movie in the genre of musical drama directed by Jon Favreau and produced by Fairview entertainment and Walt Disney Pictures. The movie ‘The lion king’ was released on 19 July 2019. The voice in the movie ‘The lion king’ is given by Donald Glover, Seth Rogen, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Alfre Woodard, John Kani, Billy Eichner, John Oliver, Beyonce Knowles-Carter and James Earl Jones. ‘The lion king’ is about a lion prince, the prince of Pride Lands named Simba, son of Mufasa, the king of Pride Lands. Musafa is betrayed and murdered by his brother Scar and Simba is forced to exile. During the exile, Simba meets Timon and Pumbaa making great friends with them, rebuilds himself to fully take back everything that is rightfully his. The movie had been very much anticipated among Indians. The seats in theatres were booked as soon as booking windows were opened, this could be seen in the huge numbers the movie was able to hit at the box office.

The movie ‘The lion king’ made 10.05 crores on the first day of its release at the box office. ‘The lion king’ acquired a big shot on the second day too which was 11.06 crores. The movie ‘The lion king’ was critically acclaimed by critics overseas and in India for its amazing realistic animations, visuals, music and plot. The dialogues were moving and if viewed in 3D theatres, the movie ‘The lion king’ makes you feel like you are a part of a plot. The animations feel so real that they put you wondering if they are living and breathing.
